Our team is hiring a Receiving and Shipping Clerk for Warehouse Support Services for the Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) in Williamsburg, VA

The Receiving and Shipping Clerk provides support for warehouse receiving, shipping, and material processing for Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command (NMRLC) Expeditionary Medical Systems (EXMEDS) operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, storage, packaging, and shipment of equipment and materiel to support sustainment, build, and deployment activities.

The Receiving and Shipping Clerk plays a key role in maintaining inventory accountability, material condition integrity, and documentation accuracy across warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and conditions against accompanying documentation
  • Perform material acceptance, quality checks, and damage identification during receipt processing
  • Process material for storage, issue, shipment, or return activities
  • Prepare outbound shipments by packaging, labeling, and staging materials for transport
  • Verify shipping documentation, manifests, and bills of lading for outbound shipments
  • Support processing of returns, retrograde material, and disposition actions as required
  • Operate material handling equipment (MHE) to move material safely within warehouse areas
  • Maintain accurate records of received and shipped material in approved tracking or documentation systems
  • Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and inventory personnel to support material flow and operational timelines
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with warehouse safety practices

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a warehouse receiving dock or logistics environment performing receiving, shipping, or material handling functions

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to be certified to operate 1.5 ton stake bed truck and 4-6K forklifts (certification may be obtained after hire)

Security Requirements

Valid Driver’s License; All NMRLC contractor employees must be U.S. citizens and maintain a favorable federal suitability determination (typically NACI with SF‑85/SF‑85P) sufficient to obtain and retain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) for installation, system, and facility access. Continued eligibility is required throughout contract performance, and loss of CAC or suitability status may result in removal from the contract.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Experience supporting government or DoD warehouse or logistics operations:

  • Familiarity with inventory documentation, manifests, or shipping records
  • Experience handling controlled, hazardous, cold‑chain, or shelf‑life material
  • Strong attention to detail in material verification and documentation
  • Ability to follow established warehouse procedures and safety requirements
  • Effective coordination skills within fast‑paced warehouse environments
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
  • Adaptability to changing workloads, priorities, and mission‑driven timelines
