Senior Web Developer (JavaScript / React)

Role Overview:

You will be joining the Websites Development team as a Sr. Web Developer at The StoneX Group. The team is responsible for client-facing marketing websites and you will be part of a scrum team focused on delivering high-quality solutions to meet business requirements for front-end development. Your role will involve maintaining legacy software, working on system migration, and collaborating with various teams to enhance and update the marketing websites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work in a scrum team based in Krakw and New Jersey
• Collaborate with the marketing team to identify and implement site enhancements
• Build new modules and update existing ones in coordination with the design team
• Ensure quality by working closely with QA and ensuring changes are properly understood, testable, and automated where feasible
• Optimize site components for performance against modern benchmarks like Core Web Vitals
• Handle end-to-end changes, provide high-quality solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver timely solutions
• Actively participate in the sprint process from estimation to feature rollout and collaborate with team members from various disciplines
• Maintain high ethical standards, values, and competence through ongoing training

Qualification Required:

• 5-7 years of experience in web application development
• Proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, HTML5, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS, and CSS preprocessors like SCSS, SASS, or LESS
• Experience with Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, RESTful APIs, and third-party integrations
• Proficient with Git, CI/CD workflows/actions, unit testing frameworks, and Storybook for UI component development
• Familiarity with monorepo environments, build tools like Webpack, Vite, or Turborepo, and agile methodologies
• Basic understanding of Core Web Vitals, performance metrics, and improving user experience
• Nice to have: Experience with server-side rendering, static site generation, SEO best practices, security concepts, headless CMSs
