We currently have an opportunity for a Financial Services Product Manager to join our Marketing team! The Financial Service Product Manager is responsible for driving growth across SCU’s core revenue areas. You will own the full product lifecycle from ideation and market research to launch, growth, and repositioning, ensuring products remain competitive and aligned with member needs and organizational goals. In partnership with the marketing team, the Product Manager ensures successful execution of go-to-market plans and member-facing initiatives.
Specific Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of SCU’s Deposit, Lending, and Wealth products, from ideation through growth and repositioning.
- Develop and execute the product roadmap aligned with corporate strategy and member needs.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and member insights to guide product enhancements, pricing, and positioning.
- Monitor product performance and provide reporting that identifies opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with Marketing and cross-functional teams to execute go-to-market plans and product-related initiatives.
- Manage vendors and internal partners, ensuring effective coordination, issue resolution, and seamless product delivery.
- Support internal teams with product expertise, communication, and training to enhance member experience.
- Drive adoption and growth of SCU’s financial products through member-focused strategies and strong internal partnerships.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in financial services, banking, or the credit union system.
- Demonstrated success managing financial products across the full lifecycle, including development, launch, growth, and repositioning.
- Strong analytical skills with proven ability to interpret data, conduct market research, and make informed, strategic product decisions.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
- Solid understanding of financial products, industry regulations, and the competitive landscape within deposits, lending, or wealth management.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple initiatives, and apply project management best practices.
- Digital and technical literacy, with comfort using analytics tools and product-related systems.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and partners to deliver high-quality product solutions and member-focused outcomes.
