Co-Founder for a Wellness-tech D2C Startup

Company Description

We are building India's first AI-integrated beauty and wellness-tech company; medically approved, BIS certified devices specialised for Indian skin. First of its kind in India.

Indian consumers are massively underserved when it comes to premium, trust-worthy, tech-enabled wellness devices, and we intend to build the defining brand in this category.

Four months ago, this was a thesis. Today:

• Medical approvals and BIS certifications strategy - locked
• Customs classification and import strategy - locked
• OEM partnerships - confirmed
• Product validation - complete
• Investor interest - strong; formal fundraise begins next month

The founder, an IIT-Delhi alumnus, brings 13+ years of deep expertise in marketing, brand-building, consumer acquisition, and D2C growth. We are now looking for the co-founder who completes the picture.

Role Description

This is a founding partnership, not a job. As Co-Founder, you will be the second pillar of the company; owning everything that happens after the product is conceived and before it reaches the customer's hands, and everything in between.

You will be responsible for:

• End-to-end supply chain contract manufacturing, OEM sourcing, vendor negotiations, quality control, production planning
• Import and compliance operations - BIS, customs clearance, landed cost optimisation (the regulatory heavy-lifting is done; you take it across the line)
• Building the operations team from zero — hiring, structuring, and leading ops, fulfilment, and vendor teams
• Co-owning the P&L and making high-stakes decisions with full accountability

Non-negotiables:

• Tier 1 institution IIT, IIM, BITS, NIT, or equivalent with 10-15 years in operations, supply chain, or general management
• Has owned or co-owned a P&L or business unit with clear outcome accountability
• Available to commit full-time, immediately

Good to Have:

• D2C hardware brand experience — boAt, Noise, Portronics, Caresmith, VEGA, Atomberg, Havells, Philips, or similar
• OEM sourcing experience including factory audits, MOQ negotiations, quality inspections
• BIS certification and customs compliance experience for physical electronics
• Marketplace ops from the supply side - Amazon, Flipkart, D2C fulfilment
• Prior entrepreneurial experience or a clear itch to build
