Financial Controller / Accounts Manager

As an Accounts Manager/Finance Controller at this company located in Verna, Goa, your primary role will be to oversee the complete accounting function. This includes managing the General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), bank reconciliations, and period-end closures. You will also lead and manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards and statutory requirements
• Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory filings and audits
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes including variance analysis and management reporting
• Strengthen internal controls, financial processes, and ensure adherence to company policies
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for smooth completion of audits and compliance reviews
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund management to ensure financial stability
• Lead finalization of accounts, including consolidation of group entities
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accurate financial reporting and cost control
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory frameworks
• Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring productivity and professional development

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a leadership role
• CA Inter / CA Qualified / MBA Finance preferred
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Strong expertise in Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax) and accounting standards
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools
