The hiring salary for this position is $53,103 - $56,171 annually ; full salary range for this position is $53,103 - $80,929 annually.Job Summary: Serves as a lead worker in the buildings maintenance crew; plans, schedules and performs a broad range of maintenance and construction duties on buildings, grounds and equipment found in water and wastewater facilities. Position reports to the Wastewater Collections Superintendent.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Essential Functions: Serves as lead worker in the buildings maintenance crewCoordinates and performs light construction, repairs and maintenance to buildings, grounds and structures used to provide water and wastewater service; to include but not limited to carpentry, roofing, framing, electrical and plumbingPerforms a variety of grounds maintenance duties (clearing ditches and fence lines, cutting grass, edging, lawn restoration, etc.)Develops material lists, obtains pricing and creates purchase requests as needed to complete projectsMonitors/oversees work of various supply or service contractors Cleans, prepares, and applies protective coatings to wood, metal, concrete, or other surfaces; including buildings, floors and water storage tanksUtilizes computer skills to generate and close work orders as needed to track job statusUpgrades building structures (e.g., installing steps, sidewalks, etc.)Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned
