PHP Developer - LAMP Stack

As a PHP Developer, your role involves analysing new requirements and providing impact analysis. You will be responsible for writing clean, well-designed, reusable code and efficient unit tests. It is important to review and maintain code to ensure high performance and adhere to SOLID principles while building applications. Troubleshooting, testing, and upgrading software and databases will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, integrating new and existing apps with third-party web-based systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams for timely delivery of software solutions are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse new requirements and provide impact analysis
• Write clean, well-designed, reusable code and efficient unit tests
• Review and maintain code to ensure high performance
• Follow SOLID principles while building applications
• Troubleshoot, test, and upgrade software and databases
• Integrate new and existing apps with third-party web-based systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of software solutions

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• Experience working with the LAMP tech stack: Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Perl/Python (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
• Proven experience in PHP Development
• Experience working with web APIs (REST, SOAP, or XML)
• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards, web standards, and browser compatibility
• Fluency in English for effective communication
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones

In addition to the minimum requirements, preferred skills for this role include proficiency with the MVC architectural pattern, knowledge of object-oriented scripting and DBMS concepts, working knowledge of Perl and Python programming languages, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
