Underground (Non-Coal) Mining Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Underground (Non-Coal) Mining Engineer for SRK Consulting office in Kolkata.

Description of Responsibilities:

• Technical and project management support for engineering studies (scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility).
• Technical deliverables, drawing, design, schedules, report writing, presentation making and cost estimations.
• Proficiency in underground (non-coal) mine planning software such as Deswik, Datamine, will be preferred.
• Underground metal mining operational experience with working knowledge of resource block models, stope optimizer software, CAD tools and scheduling software.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

• A bachelor`s degree in mining engineering or related field.
• 2 to 15 years industry experience in underground mining, mine planning, and preferably with a diverse range of commodities.
• Proficiency with computerized mine planning and optimization tools, e.g. Deswik, Datamine, MineSight, Vulcan.
• Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills.
• Ability and desire to collaborate with other technical specialists.
• The ability to work in a dynamic, flexible workplace.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage own time effectively.
• Ability and willingness to travel and long duration stay at project site, as and when required.
