Production Worker - Structural Fabrication & Welding

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking skilled Fabricators Welders Fitters to join our manufacturing team for greenhouse structure production. This is a hands-on role involving structural fabrication, welding, metal cutting, assembly, and quality control in a factory environment.

What You'll Do

Fabricate and assemble greenhouse structural components (GI pipes, steel frames, trusses, mounting brackets)

Perform MIG/TIG/Arc welding on steel and GI pipe structures

Cut, bend, and shape metal components as per engineering drawings and specifications

Assemble greenhouse frame structures, purlins, columns, and support systems

Operate workshop equipment (welding machines, cutting tools, drilling machines, grinders)

Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and fabrication sketches

Perform quality checks on welded joints and fabricated components

Maintain clean and safe working conditions in the workshop

Work collaboratively with factory team to meet production targets

Follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE at all times

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential

ITI Certificate in Fitter / Welder / Fabricator / Sheet Metal Worker or equivalent

Alternatively: 10th/12th pass with 2+ years hands-on experience in fabrication/welding

Practical welding skills (MIG/TIG/Arc welding)

Ability to work with GI pipes, mild steel, and structural steel

Basic understanding of metal cutting, grinding, and joining techniques

Preferred

Experience in structural fabrication, pipe fitting, or steel structure work

Ability to read technical drawings and work from specifications

Previous experience in manufacturing, workshop, or factory environment

Knowledge of FRP work, sheet metal work, or assembly operations is a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Type: Factory/Workshop environment

Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Monday to Saturday with alternate Saturdays off)

Overtime: Available during high production periods (paid extra)

Physical Requirements: Standing for extended periods, lifting/moving materials, working with machinery

Safety: PPE provided (helmets, gloves, safety shoes, welding shields, aprons)

ITI in Fitter/Welder + 2-5 years fabrication experience

Strong welding skills across multiple techniques

Can work independently with minimal supervision

Salary: ₹6,000 - ₹10,000/month

Profile 2: Semi-Skilled Worker with Welding Knowledge

Age: 19-35 years

ITI in Fitter/Welder or 10th/12th + 1-2 years experience

Basic welding and fabrication skills

Eager to learn and improve skills

Salary: ₹6,000 - ₹10,000/month

Profile 3: ITI Fresh Graduate (Willing to Train)

Age: 20-35 years

Recently completed ITI in Fitter/Welder/Fabricator

Practical training during ITI coursework

Enthusiastic and hardworking

Salary: ₹6,000 - ₹10,000/month (with rapid growth potential)

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:

Telugu or Hindi (mandatory for shop floor communication)

English (basic reading ability for drawings and instructions - preferred but not mandatory)
