Job Title: Grant Writer – CSR

Role Overview:

We at Spherule Foundation are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grant Writer to support our CSR fundraising efforts. The candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality grant proposals, building partnerships with corporates, and aligning organizational programs with CSR priorities. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the CSR landscape, excellent writing skills, and prior experience in the social sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and identify potential CSR funding opportunities from corporates and foundations
• Develop compelling grant proposals, concept notes, and donor reports
• Align project proposals with corporate CSR objectives and Schedule VII of the Companies Act
• Coordinate with internal program teams to gather data, impact stories, and budgets
• Conduct field visits for primary data collection and baseline studies to create realistic and impactful proposals
• Prepare presentations (PPTs) for corporate pitches and stakeholder meetings
• Maintain a database of donors, proposals, and funding pipelines
• Ensure timely submission of proposals and compliance with donor requirements
• Support in building and maintaining relationships with CSR partners

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Communications, or related field
• 4-6 years of experience in grant writing, proposal development, or CSR fundraising
• Strong knowledge of CSR laws, particularly the Companies Act (India) and Schedule VII
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Experience working in the social/development sector
• Willingness to travel for field visits and data collection
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to translate program ideas into structured proposals and budgets
• Strong research and analytical skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in donor engagement and corporate partnerships
• Familiarity with impact reporting and monitoring frameworks
• Creative storytelling and content development skills

Selection Process:

• Candidates will be required to submit an original proposal (based on a given brief) during Round 1
