Job Summary

The Lab Coordinator with Medical Transcription (MT) experience is responsible for coordinating laboratory operations, managing documentation and reports, ensuring accurate medical transcription, and supporting smooth communication between doctors, laboratory staff, and patients. The role includes maintaining records, preparing reports, and ensuring timely delivery of laboratory results while following hospital policies and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laboratory operations and workflow.
• Prepare, review, and maintain laboratory reports and records.
• Perform accurate medical transcription of laboratory and diagnostic reports.
• Ensure timely dispatch of reports to consultants, departments, and patients.
• Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and nursing teams for report clarification and follow-up.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and medical information.
• Monitor pending reports and ensure completion within TAT (Turnaround Time).
• Handle laboratory documentation, filing, and data entry activities.
• Ensure compliance with NABH/NABL and hospital protocols.
• Assist in scheduling, inventory coordination, and administrative activities within the laboratory.
• Address patient or departmental queries related to reports and documentation.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and audits.
