Role Description

Lead Generation and Customer Acquisition

1. Identify and qualify potential solar customers in the assigned territory through field visits, cold calling, networking, and referrals.

2. Develop a robust sales pipeline to achieve targets and conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.

3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential client organizations and collaborate with marketing for targeted campaigns.

Sales Presentations and Solution Development

1. Provide technical support and guidance throughout the sales process.

2. Customize solar solutions to meet customer needs, prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts, and address inquiries professionally.

3. Deliver compelling sales presentations showcasing solar PV benefits, explaining concepts like Net Metering, CSS, EPC, and PPA.

Sales Negotiation and Closing

1. Achieve or exceed sales targets, prepare accurate sales reports and forecasts, and coordinate with internal teams for smooth project execution.

2. Negotiate pricing and terms to close deals, managing the sales process from initial contact to contract signing while adhering to company policies.

Relationship Management and Customer Service

1. Build long-term relationships to foster loyalty.

2. Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and gather feedback for product improvement.

3. Maintain ongoing communication to ensure customer satisfaction, provide excellent service throughout the project lifecycle, and address concerns effectively.

Market and Industry Knowledge

1. Keep abreast of government policies and incentives and share knowledge to enhance team performance.

2. Attend industry events to network and generate leads, developing a strong understanding of solar EPC, PPA, and Net Metering business models.

3. Stay updated on solar PV technology, industry regulations, and market trends, understanding the competitive landscape to differentiate Solon India's offerings.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales experience with excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with renewable energy products, sales strategies, and the solar energy industry is preferred
  • Ability to execute client presentations and understand customer requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach
  • Proficiency in CRM software tools and basic technical understanding of EPC-related processes
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work within a field-based sales role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
