Solar technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Solar On-Grid Technician with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in solar installations. The candidate will be responsible for executing on-grid solar projects, ensuring proper installation, commissioning, and maintenance of systems in residential and commercial setups. The role requires strong technical understanding and the ability to work independently at site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and commission on-grid solar PV systems for residential and commercial projects
• Perform DC and AC wiring, inverter installation, and system integration
• Connect solar panels with inverters, combiner boxes, net meters, and grid systems
• Conduct site inspections and feasibility assessments before installation
• Troubleshoot system issues and carry out maintenance/repairs
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks
• Coordinate with team members, supervisors, and clients to complete projects on time
• Maintain proper documentation of installations, service reports, and materials used
• Support in net metering and grid connectivity processes (preferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in solar installation or electrical field work
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and electrical wiring
• ITI / Diploma / Certification in Electrical or Renewable Energy (preferred)
• Ability to independently handle small to medium-size installations
• Comfortable working at heights and outdoor environments
• Candidate must have own two-wheeler (mandatory)
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

• Field-based role with travel to project sites
• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
