Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze sample batches using standardized protocols and equipment for assigned projects.
  • Design and conduct laboratory-scale experiments, including formulation development, process optimization, and biopolymer characterization using advanced analytical methods.
  • Collaborate in scaling product development from bench-scale prototypes to pilot production and commercialization.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of experimental data, formulations, and quality control metrics to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Implement and uphold laboratory safety protocols for chemical handling, equipment operation, and waste management.
  • Monitor evolving industry regulations, technological advancements, and market trends in new tobacco product-related technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
  • 0–2 years of industrial R&D experience, including batch preparation and analytical testing in lab environments.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation (GC, HPLC, TGA, DSC, Physical characterization of particles).
  • Familiarity with lab-scale processing equipment (e.g., spray dryers, extruders) preferred.

Additional Skills

  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Chinese is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
