Role Overview:

As a leader in this role, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end HR Operations, Payroll, Compliance, and HR Systems for the organization. Your main duties will include leading teams, ensuring audit readiness, implementing scalable HRMS solutions, and closely partnering with the CHRO to deliver operational excellence and a seamless employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and scale HR Operations, Payroll, Compliance, and HRMS teams
  • Drive performance management, capability building, and succession planning
  • Establish strong governance frameworks, SLAs, and service delivery excellence
  • Own the entire employee lifecycle (hire-to-retire)
  • Design and implement best-in-class onboarding programs to ensure smooth employee integration and experience
  • Standardize and optimize HR processes across locations
  • Drive continuous improvement in employee touchpoints and HR service delivery
  • Head end-to-end payroll operations for a large, multi-location workforce
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including variable pay, reimbursements, and full & final settlements
  • Oversee payroll audits, reconciliations, and compliance reporting
  • Partner with Finance for budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable Indian labor laws (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, gratuity, bonus, Shops & Establishment, etc.)
  • Lead internal and external audits (statutory, payroll, labor compliance) and ensure audit readiness at all times
  • Identify compliance risks and implement mitigation frameworks
  • Manage relationships with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities
  • Lead selection, implementation, and optimization of HRMS/payroll systems
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives including automation, employee self-service, and workflow management
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and system governance
  • Partner with IT/vendors for system upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting
  • Develop and present HR dashboards, MIS, and analytics to leadership
  • Provide insights on workforce metrics, cost, compliance risks, and productivity
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CHRO and leadership team
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Business Heads

Qualification Required:

  • MBA / PGDM in HR or related field
  • 1015 years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll, Compliance, and HR Systems
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing large-scale, multi-location operations
  • Robust expertise in Indian labor laws, payroll governance, and audits
  • Hands-on experience in HRMS implementation and transformation projects
