Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated technician to join our team for the installation and maintenance of smart home and security systems, including CCTV (IP & Analog), wireless alarm systems, smart doorbells, video cameras, and home automation devices.

This is a dual-role position that combines hands-on installation work with sales opportunities. In addition to your base pay for installations, you will have the opportunity to earn commissions and bonuses by promoting and selling additional products and services to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot smart home and security systems, including CCTV, alarms, cameras, and automation devices.
  • Install and service wireless alarm systems (e.g., Qolsys Panel).
  • Mount hardware such as keypads, sensors, smart cameras, and smart doorbells.
  • Provide customers with training on system functionality and usage.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and support.
  • Communicate job status, progress, and issues to dispatch and management.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and paperwork accurately.
  • Follow safety policies and attend required safety meetings.

Sales & RGU Responsibilities

  • Upsell and recommend additional products and services during installations and service calls.
  • Generate Revenue Generating Units (RGUs) by promoting:
  • Mobility (Wireless Plans & Devices)
  • Stream+
  • Optik TV
  • Security System Upgrades
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales/RGU goals.
  • Educate customers on bundled service options and product value.

Commission and bonus are paid for each sale and RGU — on top of your installation salary. This is a great opportunity to increase your earnings through value-added sales.

Requirements

  • Must have your own white vehicle (Van, Truck, or SUV).
  • Must own basic tools for installations.
  • Strong communication and sales skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Customer-focused attitude and a proactive sales approach.
