Job Description
As an Assistant Manager Supply Chain at SKF, your main purpose will be to optimize end-to-end operational efficiency focusing on procurement, inventory control, ERP, and logistics to ensure seamless product availability. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, analyzing supply chain data, reducing costs, and supporting strategic planning to prevent stockouts and improve workflow.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
- Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to meet customer demands and minimize bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure optimal resource utilization.
- Manage work orders from initiation to closure and handle customer orders from receipt to delivery.
- Liquidate non-moving and obsolete stocks.
- Monitor and update inventory data to the Supply Chain Head.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, including work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory.
- Develop a roadmap to achieve business plan targets by reviewing operations periodically.
- Conduct MRP runs for the current month plan and the next 2 months tentative plan.
- Handle import procurement, shipment handling, PR/PO handling, and logistics coordination.
- Conduct capacity planning and analysis.
- Manage team and manpower.
- Ensure real-time data capture and data integrity.
- Prepare and present regular supply chain reports to senior management, including key performance indicators analysis, quality issues, and areas of improvement.
- Prepare SOPs and WI.
- Possess skills in supply chain management, ERP systems, lean manufacturing, negotiation, problem-solving, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Knowledge of ISO/TS16949 quality management systems.

- 5 years of experience in the industry.
- Basic understanding in supply chain management, ERP systems, XA OMPS MIS, lean manufacturing within a manufacturing environment.
