Job Description
You will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end warehousing & logistics operations for the India & ME region. This includes managing Factory Warehouse operations, Distribution Centre operations, EXIM, 3PL Performance management, Transportation, and Logistics Sustainability. Your role may require hands-on work with teams to ensure that logistics operations are aligned to meet the customers' needs.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- **Warehouse Operations:**
- Manage end-to-end warehouse operations covering Factory warehouses in Pune, Bangalore, Distribution centres in Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Gurgaon, and the Regional warehouse in Dubai.
- Focus on Safety & Quality, warehouse productivity & cost, inventory accuracy, and packing material cost.
- **EXIM:**
- Ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant EXIM operations for India & ME.
- Key focus areas include On-time delivery, Import spend optimization, and compliance to local regulations as per SKF policies.
- **Transportation:**
- Responsible for Domestic transportation within India & ME to ensure timely delivery, optimal cost, and safety.
- Collaborate with Purchasing for contract management practices compliance.
- **SPS Champion for Logistics & Warehousing:**
- Drive SPS roll-out across all locations in India & ME for Operational Excellence & Standardization.
- Network with SEA teams to share best practices for standardized operations.
- **Cross-Functional Alignment:**
- Partner with Purchase, Customer Service, Planning, and Finance for efficiency in warehousing & transportation.
- Collaborate with factory supply chain teams to ensure business deliverables are met without customer impact.
- **Leadership:**
- Collaborate with functional leaders to develop Supply Chain Strategy & deploy within Logistics function.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and represent ISEA in the Global Logistics Council.
- **Data Management & Systems:**
- Drive automation, dashboarding, and advanced analytics in logistics & warehousing for a Control Tower model.
- **Performance Management:**
- Track and report key KPIs related to packaging cost, warehousing cost, transportation cost, inventory accuracy, customs compliance, emissions, 3PL performance, and lead time compliance.
- *Qualifications & Experience:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 1215+ years of experience in Logistics, Warehousing, EXIM operations with 23 years in a leadership position.
- Advanced Excel and data analytics skills; experience with Power BI/Tableau preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- CII certification on Warehousing/Transportation will be an added advantage.
