As a Procurement Specialist in our healthcare organization, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: - Closely interfacing with departmental heads to understand and fulfill their procurement needs - Assisting the Head of Department in developing strategies for non-medical equipment, consumables, and stores - Collaborating with departments for vendor evaluation and assessment - Creating internal cost estimates by optimizing spend through volume leverage, reverse auction, and VMI - Conducting vendor qualification assessments and releasing RFQs to short-listed vendors - Obtaining vendor offers, preparing comparative statements, and participating in negotiation meetings - Standardizing contract templates, SLAs, and managing purchase requisitions and orders - Ensuring timely delivery of procured items and monitoring procurement dashboards for operational performance - Monitoring and reporting vendor performance and compliance with SLAs - Managing vendor relationships, vendor development processes, and upholding ethical values in procurement operations - Liaising with taxation departments and providing necessary documents for licenses and BoE preparation - Interfacing with user departments to provide visibility on material availability status - Executing departmental policies and procedures to ensure safe and quality services - Leveraging technology for operational efficiency, cost control, and transparency - Attending meetings and performing assigned responsibilities Additionally, your key responsibilities for growth include: - Interfacing with end-users for non-medical equipment requirements and upgrades - Ensuring timely procurement to support seamless departmental functioning and internal customer satisfaction - Meeting equipment requirements for new clinical pathways and specialties Furthermore, your key responsibilities for quality involve: - Planning and conducting QA/QC audits to ensure adherence to procurement policies - Ensuring compliance with national and international accreditation standards - Monitoring quality reports and taking necessary actions with vendors in case of quality issues - Participating in quality improvement programs across the organization Your role as a Procurement Specialist is vital in supporting the healthcare organization's objectives, maintaining quality standards, and fostering growth.
