The Role: We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial HSSE professional to own safety, fleet, and compliance across our national operations. This is a hands-on role — you'll work closely with field teams, project coordinators, and subcontractors to build a safety culture that's practical, not just procedural. Fleet oversight is a core part of the mandate: you'll be responsible for how we maintain, deploy, and operate our vehicles safely and efficiently. Operational excellence responsibilities round out the role, supporting process improvement and opex control as the business scales.

What You'll Do

HSSE

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve Signature Site's HSSE programs, policies, and procedures
• Lead COR certification and ongoing maintenance nationally across all operating regions
• Ensure compliance with applicable provincial OHS legislation across Canada
• Conduct and support site audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Deliver safety orientations and field training for employees and subcontractors
• Maintain HSSE documentation, reporting, and KPI tracking
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client HSSE prequalification platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks, etc.)

Fleet

• Own the national fleet program — maintenance schedules, inspections, licensing, and compliance
• Develop and enforce fleet safety policies including driver standards, vehicle use, and incident protocols
• Track fleet utilization, costs, and lifecycle to support efficiency and budget decisions
• Coordinate with operations and field teams on vehicle deployment and availability
• Manage relationships with fleet vendors, service providers, and insurers

Operational Excellence

• Partner with operations leadership to identify process gaps and support improvement initiatives
• Support quality and consistency standards across field delivery

What You Bring:

• 4–7 years of HSSE experience, ideally in field services, construction, or facilities maintenance
• Demonstrated experience managing a commercial fleet program (safety and/or operations)
• Working knowledge of Ontario OHS Act and regulations; multi-provincial experience is a strong asset
• Familiarity with petroleum, retail, or contractor environments
• Experience managing COR certification or equivalent safety management systems
• Experience with third-party safety prequalification platforms
• Strong communicator — equally comfortable in a boardroom and on a job site
• Self-starter who can build structure without a lot of hand-holding
