Property Manager - Property Acquisition

As an Intellectual Property (IP) Manager at the Corporate Office in Hyderabad, you will be responsible for overseeing and protecting the company's patent portfolio in the pharmaceutical industry. Your role will involve managing patent filings, ensuring compliance with IP laws, and supporting the R&D and legal teams in all patent-related matters. You will conduct patent searches, provide support to R&D development processes, handle patent drafting, filing, and prosecution of patent applications, and facilitate early product launches in regulated and key emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patent searches to identify potential IP blocking on in-house development processes.
• Support R&D teams in developing alternate processes to work around IP blocking.
• Prepare non-infringement and infringement opinions for in-house products.
• Conduct patentability searches to identify potential inventions of in-house products.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications by responding to objections raised by various patent offices.
• Create detailed landscape and freedom to operate reports by designing and implementing search strategies.
• Develop invalidation grounds if required and provide input and supporting documents.

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of 10-14 years of experience in IP management, preferably in API Pharma/Intermediates.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including processes, technologies, and market dynamics.
• Understanding of the API development cycle.
• In-depth knowledge of intellectual property (IP) laws in key markets worldwide.
• Proficiency in interpreting IP laws, especially in relation to decisions from patent litigations.
• Master's degree in chemistry, pharmaceuticals, or a related field.
