As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist at Siemens, your role will involve designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end machine learning pipelines to enhance internal processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end machine learning pipelines for various use cases
- Provide expertise in ML engineering best practices including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and incorporating MLOps and LLMOps approaches
- Lead projects from conception to deployment, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Work closely with an international team to integrate AI solutions into existing systems
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall skill development within the team
Qualifications Required:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related field
- Preferred 7+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or data science roles
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Experience with cloud-native ML development on Azure, AWS
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Snowflake, Spark
- Familiarity with large language models and natural language processing
- Experience with data visualization tools and libraries
- Knowledge of software development best practices including version control (e.g., GitLab) and collaborative coding
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Independent working style with proactive problem-solving approach
- Fluent in English; German proficiency is beneficial but not mandatory
