Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist at Siemens, your role will involve designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end machine learning pipelines to enhance internal processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end machine learning pipelines for various use cases
• Provide expertise in ML engineering best practices including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and incorporating MLOps and LLMOps approaches
• Lead projects from conception to deployment, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Work closely with an international team to integrate AI solutions into existing systems
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall skill development within the team

Qualifications Required:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related field
• Preferred 7+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or data science roles
• Strong proficiency in Python
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch
• Experience with cloud-native ML development on Azure, AWS
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Snowflake, Spark
• Familiarity with large language models and natural language processing
• Experience with data visualization tools and libraries
• Knowledge of software development best practices including version control (e.g., GitLab) and collaborative coding
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Independent working style with proactive problem-solving approach
• Fluent in English; German proficiency is beneficial but not mandatory
