Category Manager, Tech Services

Role Overview:

As a Procurement Specialist (S&G) at Siemens Energy, you will independently manage end-to-end procurement for a defined portfolio of S&G commodities such as Advisory Services, Product & Business Learning, HR/Executive Search, Market Research, Packaging, Office/Factory Supplies, PPE, Waste Management, Temporary Labor, etc. This strategic and operational role requires strong ownership, analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the capability to work closely with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of procurement for assigned S&G categories including defining annual saving opportunities, demand pooling, and category planning.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities such as price benchmarking, market intelligence, and supplier landscape analysis.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance KPIs, and ensure compliance with statutory, ESG, safety, and sustainability documentation.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders across HR, EHS, Admin, Finance, Plants, and Project teams to align procurement strategies and educate stakeholders on governance and compliance requirements.
• Utilize digital procurement tools efficiently, maintain data accuracy, and identify opportunities for procurement efficiency improvement.
• Integrate sustainability considerations into supplier selection and category strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting waste management and circularity initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate (Engineering/Commerce/Supply Chain); MBA preferred.
• 37 years of hands-on experience in indirect procurement/category management.
• Mandatory: Strong SAP experience; exposure to Fieldglass is an advantage.
