About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Team Lead with strong expertise in QuickBooks, US Sales Tax returns, and end-to-end account finalization.
This role involves leading a team of accounting professionals while managing daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US accounting principles, strong leadership skills, and hands-on experience with cloud-based accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations in QuickBooks
- Prepare and file US Sales Tax returns accurately and on time
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts, and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with US accounting regulations and tax laws
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial planning and reporting
- Train and mentor junior accountants to improve team efficiency .
- Identify and implement process automation to improve productivity .
- Support hiring and training within the finance department.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in US accounting, preferably with QuickBooks
- Strong knowledge of US Sales Tax return filing specially for ecommerce
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks
- Experience in reconciliations and financial reporting
- Proven ability to manage a team and meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills
