Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Freight Broker at Shine Logistics. The Freight Broker will identify and secure freight opportunities, negotiate rates with carriers and shippers, and manage the end-to-end movement of loads across North America. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with clients and carriers, coordinating dispatch activities, tracking shipments, and resolving service issues promptly and professionally. The role involves preparing and maintaining accurate load documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize routes and capacity. The Freight Broker will also focus on providing responsive customer service, proactively communicating status updates, and contributing to continuous improvement of logistics processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage, including negotiating rates and managing carrier and shipper relationships.
• Strong Customer Service and Account Management skills to support client needs, handle inquiries, and build long-term partnerships.
• Experience with Dispatching, including coordinating loads, tracking shipments, and addressing operational issues in real time.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast-paced environment with strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), load boards, and basic logistics documentation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort with phone and digital communication tools.
• Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain is preferred; relevant certifications or training in freight brokerage are a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, logistics, or a related field is beneficial.
