As an Assistant Front Office Manager at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, your role will involve assisting the Front Office Manager in overseeing front office functions and supervising daily operations of Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk. You will work with managers and employees to ensure an efficient check-in and check-out process, maximize guest and employee satisfaction, and enhance the department's financial performance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations and standards
- Develop goals and plans to prioritize work effectively
- Handle complaints, disputes, and grievances, and supervise staffing levels
- Communicate business objectives and expectations to employees, recognize performance, and achieve desired results
- Support the management of the Front Desk team by leading and encouraging team members, building trust and respect, and serving as a role model
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding guest needs, resolving issues, and empowering employees to deliver excellent service
- Implement customer service programs, train staff on credit policies, and supervise daily Front Desk operations
- Support Human Resource activities by coaching and mentoring employees, addressing satisfaction concerns, and participating in hiring and orientation processes
- Perform Front Desk duties as necessary, run Front Desk shifts, and communicate departmental goals effectively
**Qualification Required:**
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services or related area, OR a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead, influence, and encourage others
- Sound financial and business decision-making abilities
