Business Development: Proactively identify and onboard new B2B clients (e.g., in manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial sectors) requiring FTL services.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term partnerships to ensure repeat business and high customer satisfaction.
Market Mapping & Pricing: Analyse market trends and competitor freight rates to pitch competitive, yet profitable, logistics solutions.
Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and spot rates with both customers (shippers) and occasionally vendors (fleet owners).
Operational Liaison: Coordinate with the dispatch and operations teams to ensure vehicle placement is on time and cargo is delivered safely.
Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly revenue and volume (number of loads) targets.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of truck types (flatbeds, dry vans, reefers), transit times, and freight market dynamics.
Experience: Typically requires 3–5 years of sales experience specifically in the logistics or transportation industry.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to handle high-pressure price negotiations with savvy procurement managers.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to speak the language (English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam)
