About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to join our growing team Brokerage. This role is responsible for managing mortgage files from application through underwriting and closing while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a smooth borrower experience.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple loan files efficiently while maintaining clear communication with loan officers and third-party vendors. A strong understanding of mortgage guidelines and underwriting requirements is essential in order to move files smoothly through the processing pipeline.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring loans are submitted cleanly, conditions are addressed promptly, and files are prepared for closing in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Review loan applications and supporting documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to underwriting submission
• Collect, analyze, and verify borrower documentation including income, assets, credit, employment, and other required financial records
• Prepare and submit complete loan files to underwriting and work proactively to clear underwriting conditions
• Communicate regularly with loan officers and third-party vendors to ensure smooth loan progression
• Order and review third-party documentation including appraisals, title work, insurance, and other required reports
• Ensure all loan files comply with federal and state regulations including TRID, RESPA, and investor guidelines
• Review loan files to confirm they meet underwriting and investor requirements prior to submission
• Prepare loan files for closing and coordinate with settlement agents, title companies, and lenders
• Monitor the loan pipeline and ensure files move efficiently through each processing milestone
• Maintain accurate and organized loan records within the Loan Origination System (LOS)

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a mortgage loan processor
• Strong knowledge of Conventional, FHA, and VA loan programs
• Experience working with wholesale lenders preferred
• Familiarity with loan origination systems (ARIVE preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with self-employed borrower documentation
• Familiarity with underwriting guidelines and clearing loan conditions
• Experience working in high-volume mortgage environments
