Job Description
As a Marine Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing shipboard marine systems for Commercial/Trading vessels, with a minimum of 15 years of overall experience in this field. This includes at least 5 years of experience in a reputed shipyard design office focusing on marine systems related to newbuild or conversion projects. Your role will require a thorough knowledge of marine systems and equipment packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic design for utility systems for conversion projects, such as heating/cooling systems, fire/foam systems, ballast systems, instrument air systems, and drainage systems.
- Design alternate fuel retrofit projects, including Methanol, LNG, Ammonia, and hydrogen, and conduct feasibility studies to support commercial costing on various trading vessels.
- Contribute design expertise to new build, conversion, and retrofit projects, working closely with Naval architecture discipline to provide marine systems and tanks related inputs for hull assessment.
- Familiarize yourself with different types of commercial vessels, including VLCCs, Crude oil Tankers, Container Vessels, Bulk Carriers, LNG carriers, etc.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and the ability to present technical proposals to clients during bidding/marketing initiatives.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 15 years of overall experience in Shipboard Marine systems design for Commercial/Trading vessels.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in providing basic design for utility systems for conversion projects.
