Job Description

As a Warehouse Team Leader at Schneider Electric, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution centers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns
  • Ensuring on-time, in-full delivery performance across customers, factories, and project sites
  • Designing and optimizing warehouse layout, material flow, and storage strategies for maximum space and productivity
  • Managing multi-warehouse or regional distribution center operations
  • Hierarchical management of operators or teams, including employee performance, development, engagement, and discipline
  • Organizing and managing warehousing operations according to SPS principles
  • Driving operational excellence using Lean, Six Sigma, and Schneider Performance System methodologies
  • Defining and monitoring KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order cycle time, and productivity
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, digitalization, and process simplification
  • Ensuring optimal inventory levels aligned with demand planning and service targets
  • Collaborating closely with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams
  • Leveraging and enhancing usage of WMS, ERP, barcode/RFID, and analytics tools
  • Supporting automation projects such as ASRS, conveyor systems, AGVs, and warehouse robotics
  • Leading, coaching, and developing warehouse management teams, supervisors, and indirect workforce
  • Fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and safety-first culture
  • Ensuring 100% compliance with EHS standards, legal regulations, and safety policies
  • Owning warehouse operating budgets, cost optimization, and productivity improvement plans

Qualifications required for this role include:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations
  • Masters degree (MBA / PGDM Operations / Supply Chain) preferred
  • 10 years of overall experience in supply chain, warehousing, or logistics
  • Minimum 68 years in senior leadership roles managing large or multi-site warehouse operations
  • Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, electrical, or project-based supply chains preferred
  • Experience working in matrix and global organizations is an advantage
