Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues in the network environment. Supporting employees with network connectivity problems and providing technical guidance. Configuring firewalls, security settings, and secure VPN setup to protect sensitive data. Collaborating with IT teams to upgrade and expand network infrastructure. Documenting network layouts, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Ensuring compliance with network security standards in India. Assisting with disaster recovery plans and implementing backup solutions. Job Responsiblities Install and configure network monitoring software and tools like routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points for real-time tracking. Manage LAN setup and install a secure Wi-Fi network as required. Perform regular maintenance, updates, and backups of network systems; and resolve network slowdowns by analysing bandwidth usage and isolating issues. Collaborate with vendors to procure the latest network equipment or updates. Educate employees on best practices to prevent unauthorised access or cyber-attacks. Maintain accurate records of network configurations, inventory, and network troubleshooting activities. Assist in planning and deploying upgrades or expansions of network infrastructure and test new configurations or devices in a sandbox environment before implementation. Work closely with other IT staff to ensure the integration of network systems with organisational needs.
