Job Title: Medicine Store Staff / Pharmacy AssistantJob Summary:
The Medicine Store Staff assists in the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy or medical store. Their responsibilities include handling medicines, assisting customers, maintaining inventory, and ensuring proper storage and billing of pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in purchasing medicines as per prescriptions
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy (under supervision of a licensed pharmacist)
- Pack and label medicines correctly
- Maintain stock levels and inform management about shortages
- Arrange medicines on shelves systematically (FIFO/expiry management)
- Check expiry dates regularly and remove expired products
- Handle billing and payments (cash, card, digital payments)
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the store
- Record daily sales and inventory updates
- Assist in receiving and checking new stock deliveries
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th pass (higher preferred)
- Basic knowledge of medicines and medical terms (preferred)
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer knowledge (billing software, MS Excel)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in shifts
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or relevant experience
- Prior experience in a medical store or pharmacy
