Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, and operations-focused Plant Head to lead our manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will have total P&L responsibility for the plant, overseeing production, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to meet company goals. You will drive operational excellence, improve productivity, and foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement (Lean/TPM).

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic & Operational Leadership

· P&L Accountability: Own the overall plant P&L, driving profitability through strict control of conversion costs, budget management, and optimal utilization of resources (man, machine, material).

· Operational Excellence: Formulate and execute daily, monthly, and annual production plans, ensuring 100% adherence to customer dispatch schedules and quality standards.

· Leadership Team Management: Lead the Plant Leadership Team (comprising Production, Quality, Maintenance, HR, Store/Purchase) to act as a cohesive unit aligned with company vision.

2. Manufacturing & Engineering Excellence

· Process Improvement: Drive productivity enhancement initiatives through Total Quality Management (TQM), TPM, and 5S methodologies.

· Capacity Expansion: Lead new project execution, tool room optimization, machine installation, and commissioning within scheduled timelines and budgets.

· Quality Assurance: Maintain robust quality monitoring systems (ISO, TS 16949) to ensure zero-defect production and minimize rejection rates.

3. Safety, Compliance, and Maintenance

· EHS Leadership: Ensure strict compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, aiming for zero incidents.

· Asset Care: Implement preventive, predictive, and autonomous maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.

· Statutory Compliance: Ensure all legal, regulatory, and environmental compliances are adhered to.

4. Team Development & Stakeholder Management

· Performance Management: Set KPIs for staff, train, mentor, and build a high-performance team to enhance productivity.

· Industrial Relations: Maintain a healthy industrial atmosphere, resolving worker grievances efficiently.

Required Qualifications & Experience

· Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering (MBA in Operations is a plus).

· Experience: 15-20+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years as a Plant Head/Manager in a medium-to-heavy engineering industry.

· Technical Knowledge: Proficient in production in engineering products like fasteners / automotive spares or products , Handling of machines on Pneumatics / hydraulics , CNC machining, welding, assembly, and tool room operations.

· Systems Knowledge: Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and ISO systems. (Six Sigma will be a plus)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
