Entry level/ Junior accountant

Overview

We, Public accounting firm, are seeking a motivated Entry Level Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their accounting skills and gaining practical experience in a professional environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, proficiency with accounting software, and a keen eye for detail. As an integral part of our team, you will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and record maintenance
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Support account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
• Aid in budgeting processes and financial reporting activities
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to record transactions and generate reports
• Help prepare financial statements and supporting documentation for audits
• Contribute to maintaining organized financial records in compliance with company policies

Requirements

• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experience in public practice is an asset.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is preferred
• Strong proficiency in bookkeeping, data entry, and record keeping
• Knowledge of payroll processing is a plus
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports accurately
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required; relevant internship experience is a plus
• Bilingual between Korean and English is preferred

Pay: $34,400.00-$56,113.04 per year
