As a Bookkeeper in our company, your role is crucial in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of bookkeeping and administrative services for our clients, including high-net-worth individuals and family entities. Your responsibilities will include delivering accurate, timely, and professional bookkeeping services while ensuring compliance with relevant Australian legislation and internal policies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare bank, investment, and account reconciliations - Manage accounts payable, cash flow tracking, and budgeting - Provide bill payment instructions when necessary - Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting - Ensure compliance with BAS, IAS, and other statutory requirements - Perform payroll processing tasks as needed - Maintain accurate financial records using systems like Xero and MYOB - Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders - Support continuous improvement initiatives for financial systems and reporting **Technical & Quality Management:** - Follow established procedures for compliance and review of work - Maintain knowledge of bookkeeping standards, Australian tax requirements, and compliance obligations - Respond to and resolve queries raised by supervisors or managers **Financial Management:** - Work within allocated time budgets and deadlines - Notify managers of work falling outside the scope of engagement **Team Collaboration:** - Meet daily deliverables and deadlines - Support team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment - Participate actively in team meetings - Assist with additional tasks as required **Compliance & Professional Conduct:** - Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements - Maintain client information confidentiality - Perform all duties with integrity, professionalism, and accountability - Support internal audits, system improvements, and special projects **Qualifications & Experience:** - Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience (essential) - 5+ years experience (desirable) - Experience in an accounting or professional services environment preferred **Skills & Knowledge:** - Strong experience with Xero and MYOB - Knowledge of Australian tax compliance and payroll obligations - Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills - Strong written and verbal communication - High attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Strong interpersonal and teamwork capabilities **Key Attributes:** - High integrity and confidentiality - Proactive and results-oriented mindset - Strong focus on compliance and risk management - Commitment to continuous improvement - Inclusive and respectful approach to teamwork As a Bookkeeper in our company, your role is crucial in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of bookkeeping and administrative services for our clients, including high-net-worth individuals and family entities.
