As a Contract and Procurement Manager, your role involves managing contract and procurement processes for high-rise building construction projects. Your key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and administering EPC contracts, subcontract agreements, and vendor contracts. Ensuring compliance with FIDIC contract conditions and project-specific contractual obligations. Managing contract risk assessment, claims, variations, extensions of time, and dispute resolution. Interpreting contract clauses and providing contractual guidance to project teams. Monitoring contractor performance and ensuring adherence to contractual terms.
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies. Managing end-to-end procurement processes including tendering, bid evaluation, vendor selection, and purchase order issuance. Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers to achieve cost-effective solutions. Ensuring timely procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract packages. Maintaining an approved vendor database and evaluating supplier performance.
- Preparing cost comparisons, commercial evaluations, and procurement reports. Monitoring procurement budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Coordinating with finance and project teams for payment certifications and invoice verification.
- Handling contractual claims, notices, and correspondence as per FIDIC provisions. Ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations. Supporting project audits and documentation reviews.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams. Supporting project planning and execution through proactive contract and procurement management.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 15-20 years of progressive professional experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with EPC.
