Field Service Engineer (Battery Forklift/Pallet Trucks)

To ensure maximum uptime and performance of IC engines used in gensets, industrial, automotive, marine, or off-highway applications by carrying out preventive maintenance, breakdown repairs, overhauls, and technical support while maintaining safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Field Service & Repairs

• Attend breakdown calls for forklifts, reach trucks, stackers, BOPT, VNA, and other MHE at customer sites.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic faults using technical manuals and diagnostic tools.
• Carry out repairs, component replacements, and testing to restore equipment within agreed TAT.

2. Preventive & Planned Maintenance

• Execute scheduled PM as per OEM guidelines to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Inspect battery, charger, motor, controller, hydraulics, mast, and safety systems during PM visits.
• Update service reports and recommend parts replacement before failure.

3. Customer Support

• Provide on-site technical guidance to operators and fleet in-charges on safe equipment usage.
• Handle first-level customer escalations and explain repair actions clearly.
• Support customers during AMC execution and warranty jobs.

4. Parts & Warranty

• Identify required spare parts and raise requisitions with minimal error.
• Support warranty claim process with proper diagnosis, photos, and failure reports.
• Ensure replaced parts are returned as per OEM/dealer policy.

5. Reporting & Compliance

• Maintain accurate service reports, job cards, and digital service logs.
• Update CRM/service app with visit details, TAT, and customer feedback.
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE usage, and OEM service standards during field work.

6. Inventory & Tools

• Maintain service van stock, tools, and calibration equipment.
• Ensure proper handling of test equipment, laptop, and diagnostic software.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong hands-on knowledge of MHE: IC forklifts, electric forklifts, reach trucks, battery & charger systems, AC/DC motors, controllers
• Troubleshooting of hydraulics, electrics, and electronics
• Reading wiring diagrams, hydraulic circuits, and service manuals
• Customer handling and communication at site
• Basic MS Office / service app usage for reporting

Pay: ₹17,500.00 - ₹27,500.00 per month
