SAIC is seeking a talented SharePoint Engineer to support the Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC) by delivering robust solutions to modernize, enhance, and maintain the OCC’s SharePoint environment. This individual will bring extensive experience in SharePoint Online, SharePoint migrations, and a customer-centric approach to deliver enterprise collaboration solutions.
The SharePoint Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing SharePoint solutions to improve team collaboration, document management, and information sharing within the OCC. This role will also focus on migrating existing content and workflows to SharePoint Online, working to ensure a smooth and secure transition while maintaining high user satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage SharePoint Online environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- Create and manage SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, permissions, and content structures based on business requirements.
- Use modern SharePoint features such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and SPFx to deliver customized and streamlined solutions.
- Plan and execute migrations from legacy SharePoint platforms (e.g., 2013/2016/2019) to SharePoint Online.
- Utilize tools such as ShareGate, Metalogix, or native SharePoint migration tools to ensure efficient and secure content migration with minimal disruption.
- Validate and troubleshoot migration outcomes, resolving any issues related to data integrity, permissions, or configurations.
- Work closely with the OCC technical teams, business users, and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements for SharePoint solutions.
- Provide consultative advice on best practices for SharePoint architecture, integrations, and governance.
- Develop and enforce governance models for content management, site usage, and permissions in alignment with OCC policies and compliance requirements.
- Create and maintain technical and end-user documentation for SharePoint solutions and workflows.
- Perform ongoing support, patching, and upgrades within the SharePoint Online environment.
- Resolve technical issues in collaboration with SAIC and OCC teams, ensuring seamless operation for end-users.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SharePoint Engineer, including expertise in SharePoint Online and migrations.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online architecture, capabilities, and configuration.
- Proven experience with SharePoint migrations using tools such as ShareGate, Metalogix, or other migration platforms.
- Proficiency in Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Strong understanding of Office 365 environment integrations including Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing priorities.
- Strong customer service mindset with a focus on end-user satisfaction.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an OCC Public Trust.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal agencies or working in highly regulated environments.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements such as NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP in the context of SharePoint.
