Job Description

As a Senior Analyst at S&P Global Mobility, you will be responsible for conducting high-complexity supplier and supply chain relationship research to support automotive procurement and risk stakeholders. Your role will involve being a methodological and domain leader, driving analytical rigor and producing defensible research outputs. Here is what you can expect in this role:

  • Own the execution of high-complexity supplier and supply chain relationship research, ensuring outputs are aligned with team standards and SLAs.
  • Serve as a subject-matter and methodological leader for supplier discovery and relationship validation, advising on source selection, triangulation strategy, and evidence quality.
  • Perform advanced analysis and synthesis across disparate sources to identify patterns and relationships.
  • Lead quality improvement through hands-on calibration, conducting peer reviews, spot checks, and recommending process changes.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, product/development, and commercial teams to translate research outputs into scalable datasets and client-ready narratives.
  • Contribute to customer-facing engagements as a trusted expert, including methodology discussions, research readouts, and responses to client inquiries.
  • Identify new research opportunities and coverage expansion areas, building business cases with clear research approaches and expected impact.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in research management, competitive intelligence, supply chain research, or a related role, preferably tied to automotive or global supply chains.
  • Domain expertise in Powertrain & Chassis Systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of automotive supply chain structures and/or procurement processes.
  • Experience partnering with technical teams to operationalize research outputs.
  • Background in supplier discovery/validation using a mix of primary/secondary research.
  • Track record of publishing research or presenting insights to procurement, supply chain, risk, or executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with global trade and compliance concepts relevant to automotive sourcing.
  • Master's degree (MBA or related) is a plus.
