Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager - SEO Operations will be responsible for driving the brand’s organic
discoverability, search visibility, and search-led growth across both traditional search ecosystems and emerging AI-powered answer and discovery platforms. The role will own and support initiatives across Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to ensure the brand is easy to find, easy to understand, easy to retrieve, and easy to trust across modern search and answer journeys.
This role will work across technical SEO, on-page and semantic optimization, content discoverability, answer-surface readiness, structured search visibility, and performance monitoring to strengthen the brand’s presence across high-intent user journeys.

What you’ll do:
SEO Strategy & Organic Growth Management:
- Support the planning and execution of the brand’s SEO roadmap aligned to business priorities, product launches, campaigns, and organic growth opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to improve organic visibility, traffic quality, and discoverability across branded, non-branded, category, informational, and transactional search journeys.
- Drive SEO initiatives across priority website sections, business pages, campaign pages, and high-intent user journeys.
- Ensure SEO efforts are aligned with broader brand, business, and performance objectives.
Technical SEO Operations:
- Monitor and manage the overall technical SEO health of the website ecosystem.
- Identify and coordinate resolution of issues related to:
- crawlability
- indexation
- redirects
- canonicals
- broken pages / 4xx / 5xx errors
- XML sitemaps
- robots directives
- duplicate content
- internal linking
- site architecture
- JavaScript rendering limitations
- Core Web Vitals / page experience
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure SEO requirements are implemented accurately and within timelines.
- Support SEO readiness for new page launches, template rollouts, website changes, and migration-related activities.
On-Page SEO & Content Optimization:
- Support optimization of website pages to improve search relevance, content discoverability, and search intent alignment.
- Drive on-page SEO improvements across:
- metadata
- headers
- content structure
- keyword targeting
- internal links
- page hierarchy
- semantic relevance
- Work with content, product, and marketing teams to ensure pages are optimized for both users and search engines.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance of priority pages including product/model pages, category pages, FAQs, blogs, comparison pages, and campaign pages.
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) &AEO (Answer Engine Optimization):
- Support initiatives to improve the brand’s visibility across AI-powered search, generative answer environments, and answer-led discovery surfaces.
- Identify opportunities to make owned content more retrievable, answer-friendly, citation-worthy, and machine-readable.
- Contribute to improving the brand’s presence across AI-generated responses, answer surfaces, zero-click environments, and question-led search journeys.
- Work on content and structural enhancements that improve answer extraction, factual clarity, and discoverability in emerging search ecosystems.
Content Discoverability & Semantic Search Readiness:
- Support development of content recommendations that improve semantic relevance, search
coverage, and topic depth.
- Help strengthen the website’s ability to rank and surface for relevant intent-led, informational, and consideration-stage search queries.
- Ensure content assets are structured in a way that supports both traditional search performance and AI-answer retrieval.
- Work with relevant stakeholders to improve discoverability of FAQs, feature pages, support content, and informational assets.
Structured Discoverability & Entity Readiness:
- Support implementation and improvement of structured discoverability elements that help search engines and AI systems better understand brand, product, feature, and location information.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve content clarity, consistency, and machine-readability across owned digital properties.
- Help strengthen the brand’s readiness for search and answer systems through better entity alignment, factual consistency, and information structuring.
- Identify gaps where critical brand or product information may be unclear, incomplete, or difficult to retrieve.
Local SEO & Location-Led Visibility:
- Support SEO initiatives focused on local discoverability, regional search journeys, and location-intent traffic opportunities.
- Help improve search visibility for relevant city, regional, dealer/store, and local landing pages where applicable.
- Work with internal stakeholders to strengthen local search performance and improve discoverability for geographically relevant user journeys.
- Identify opportunities to improve presence in high-intent local and near-conversion search moments.
Performance Monitoring, Reporting & Insights:
- Track, monitor, and report on key SEO and discoverability performance metrics.
- Support regular performance analysis across:
- organic traffic
- keyword visibility / rankings
- click-through rates
- indexation health
- page-level performance
- technical SEO status
- local SEO performance
- answer-surface / AI visibility indicators (where measurable)
- Prepare regular dashboards, performance summaries, and insight-led updates for internal
- stakeholders.
- Identify key growth opportunities, risks, anomalies, and performance gaps through data and trend analysis.
Competitor & Search Landscape Monitoring:
- Monitor competitor movements, category trends, search behavior shifts, and changes in search / answer ecosystems.
- Track how competitors, aggregators, publishers, and digital-first players are improving discoverability across organic and answer-led environments.
- Identify whitespace opportunities and emerging risks impacting the brand’s organic visibility.
- Support competitive benchmarking and search opportunity mapping exercises.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Execution:
- Ensure SEO, GEO, and AEO requirements are integrated into key digital initiatives and not treated as post-launch fixes.
- Support end-to-end execution of SEO and discoverability projects through strong follow-up, coordination, and stakeholder alignment.
- Contribute to building stronger internal awareness and adoption of search and discoverability best practices.
- Ensure governance through regular reviews, audits, and documentation.
- Support management with insights for strategic decisions.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

What you'll bring:
Experience: 5–8 years experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Qualification: Bachelor'sdegree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer
Science, Mathematics, Marketing, or related field.
