The Opportunity
Join Royal Bank of Canada's Private Banking team in a specialized credit structures role. You'll provide dedicated support in underwriting annual reviews and managing credit relationships for our largest and most complex clients in Halifax, Atlantic Region. Working with high-net-worth individuals and sophisticated business structures, you'll help develop tailored lending solutions, secure risk approvals, and manage loan fulfillment through closing.
What You'll Do
Conduct annual credit reviews of complex borrowing relationships within the Private Banking wholesale portfolio
Partner with Private Bankers and credit team members to gather information for annual reviews and new credit transactions
Perform comprehensive financial analysis of borrowers and guarantors on large, complex transactions
Structure credit solutions for personal holding companies, professional corporations, and trusts
Conduct securities and portfolio analysis
Coach and mentor junior credit team members
Identify process improvements and contribute to special projects
What You Need to Succeed
Must Have
Proven lending experience in retail, commercial, or capital markets
Strong capability analyzing complex financial statements
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
University degree in business or related field
Ability to manage multiple credit files simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills and client-focused mindset
Nice to Have
CFA or MBA designation
Experience with Synergy (CCR) and Newton systems
Results-oriented, decisive approach
