GENERAL PURPOSE:

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and secure environment for both associates and customers. You will be the visible presence at store entrances/exits, mitigating theft and fraud through excellent customer service and adherence to loss prevention policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure Safety & Security: Prioritize safety and maintain a secure environment by greeting customers and monitoring for potential safety issues.
• Provide Exceptional Customer Service: Engage customers warmly with eye contact and smiles, answering inquiries in a friendly manner.
• Identify and Mitigate Theft: Observe behavior in the store to spot suspicious activity and report theft indicators to store leadership.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with store leadership to implement loss prevention strategies and train associates on best practices.
• Maintain Professional Appearance: Represent the company brand by adhering to the dress code and maintaining a professional demeanor.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; an AA degree is preferred.
• One year of retail supervisory experience or similar training is desirable.
• Experience in loss prevention or security is a plus.
• Active Security Guard License is preferred.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills.
• Must comply with applicable laws and regulations for security positions, including background checks and screenings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move for the majority of the workday.
• Capability to lift objects over 25 lbs and perform bending, stooping, or crouching as needed.
