Job Description
As part of a 6-month contract mandate, the UX/UI Designer & Digital Platform Integrator contributes to the evolution of Rodeo FX’s internal and external digital experiences, with a particular focus on special projects, priority needs, websites, content platforms, and digital tools supporting culture, recruitment, communications, and the organization’s visibility. The core mission of this role is to turn Culture and Communications needs into seamless, cohesive, and memorable digital experiences.
At the intersection of design and implementation, the person in this role creates clear, engaging, and well-structured interfaces, then brings them to life within the platforms used by the company, taking into account platform capabilities, constraints, and user needs. They work on targeted initiatives that require strong execution, autonomy, sound judgment, and a clear sense of priorities. They are responsible for ensuring a high-quality user experience, visual consistency, and reliable execution, in line with Rodeo FX’s premium standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Master your the craft
- Design digital interfaces and user journeys for Rodeo FX’s internal and external needs, including content platforms, employer branding initiatives, and selected business-related digital tools.
- Translate business, communications, or experience needs into clear, structured digital solutions tailored to the target users.
- Produce mockups, wireframes, interface components, and prototypes to support decision-making, align stakeholders, and facilitate implementation.
- Implement approved designs within the company’s existing platforms by adapting available templates, pages, modules, or components with rigor and consistency.
- Lead improvements to the structure, navigation, usability, and content organization of selected digital environments.
- Contribute to the targeted enhancement of existing interfaces to improve readability, efficiency, and consistency.
- Support the structuring of target user groups in order to enable more relevant information distribution and a better-adapted experience for different audiences.
Creative quality
- Ensure a high level of visual quality across all interfaces produced, in line with Rodeo FX’s brand identity, tone, and aesthetic standards.
- Design digital experiences that are elegant, intuitive, and functional, supporting both message clarity and brand impact.
- Demonstrate strong attention to visual hierarchy, typography, composition, rhythm, and executional detail.
- Adapt design proposals to the context, target audience, and intended objective, whether for talent attraction, corporate communications, editorial content, or internal tools.
- Maintain consistency in the experience from one page to another and across platforms.
- Propose relevant improvements whenever the experience, readability, or overall impact can be strengthened.
Technical quality
- Deliver clean, structured, and maintainable integrations and customizations within the platforms in use, while respecting their capabilities, constraints, and expected quality standards.
- Ensure interfaces provide a seamless experience across key screen sizes and major browsers.
- Collaborate with the relevant technical or administrative resources to ensure implementation is realistic, sustainable, and faithful to the design intent.
- Organize files, components, and deliverables rigorously to facilitate revisions, updates, and continuity of work.
- Contribute to the creation and evolution of standards, templates, reusable components, and best practices that promote consistency and efficiency.
- Identify usability, accessibility, or integration issues early and recommend practical solutions.
Communication
- Work closely with the Culture team and with stakeholders involved in digital, brand, content, recruitment, or internal communications projects.
- Ask the right questions to fully understand needs, clarify objectives, identify priorities, and propose an appropriate response.
- Present concepts, interface decisions, and recommendations with clarity, logic, and sound judgment.
- Communicate progress proactively, flagging constraints, dependencies, or required trade-offs early.
- Receive feedback with openness and professionalism, then integrate it thoughtfully to improve the final result.
- Foster simple, effective, and constructive collaboration with the various contributors involved in their mandates.
Learn, share, and evolve
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of UX/UI, accessibility, interface design, and digital experience best practices.
- Stay informed of developments in digital design, prototyping tools, and content platforms in order to support the quality of delivered work.
- Share learnings, observations, and recommendations when they can improve ways of working, consistency, or team efficiency.
- Contribute, through assigned mandates, to raising the quality and consistency of Rodeo FX’s internal and external digital experiences.
- Document, when relevant, templates, workflows, or recommendations that can support continuity after the end of the mandate.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in UX/UI design applied to digital environments, implementation within existing platforms, or in a hybrid role combining interface design and execution.
- Proficiency with interface design and prototyping tools.
- Hands-on experience using, customizing, and optimizing digital platforms or CMS solutions such as LumApps, Shopify, Google Sites, SharePoint, Webflow, or comparable tools.
- Strong understanding of page structure, responsive design, usability, information architecture, accessibility, and digital performance principles.
- Comfort with HTML and CSS when required by the platforms in use.
- Ability to translate a visual concept into a polished, functional, and faithful digital experience.
- Strong sensitivity to visual quality, detail, brand consistency, and user experience.
- Ability to manage multiple requests in parallel, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-moving creative environment.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong command of both French and English, spoken and written. *
- A portfolio demonstrating strong design quality, clear user journeys, and the ability to deliver effective digital experiences within existing platforms is highly preferred.
- The person in this role will collaborate daily with teams located outside Quebec, particularly in Los Angeles and Toronto, where English is the primary working language. They will also be required to communicate regularly with external international stakeholders who are not French-speaking. A strong command of English is therefore essential to ensure smooth and effective communication in an international work environment, and to represent Rodeo FX’s creative and technical capabilities on a global scale.
