Job Description
Our client in Markham is recruiting for a UX/UI Designer with front-end development experience for a 6-month contract. This is a 6 month initial contract opportunity; they are currently located in Downtown Markham but will be moving to North York (near HWY 401/404) in the Fall 2026. The UX/UI Designer will combine user-centered design with modern front-end development to build intuitive, responsive, and accessible web applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate user needs and business requirements into high-quality digital experiences.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & User ExperienceCreate wireframes, mockups, and prototypes aligned with user needs and business goals.Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.Work cross-functionally to ensure design consistency, usability, and accessibility.Front-End DevelopmentBuild responsive and scalable web interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.Integrate front-end components with backend APIs and services.Optimize applications for performance and cross-browser compatibility.CollaborationWork closely with backend engineers to support integration and define API contracts.Participate in technical discussions and code reviews.
