Supply Chain Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives focused on material shortages, production backlog recovery, quality improvements, and S&OP process ownership. This individual will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Quality, and Field Service teams to identify operational challenges, determine root causes, drive corrective actions, and ensure critical issues are resolved through completion.

This role will serve as a key coordinator and problem solver, helping improve operational performance while supporting the transition and long-term sustainability of internal S&OP initiatives

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, manage, and resolve material shortages impacting production and customer deliveries.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives, including formal 8D problem-solving processes.
• Coordinate efforts across Procurement, Materials Management, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Field Service teams.
• Track critical shortages, production constraints, and backlog recovery activities to drive timely resolution.
• Support and ultimately assume ownership of internal Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain action plans, drive accountability, and ensure follow-through across multiple functional areas.
• Review and improve planning, reporting, and operational processes to enhance efficiency and visibility.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders and leadership regarding supply chain risks, production challenges, and corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on quality, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain operations, materials management, production planning, procurement, or operations management.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems and quality improvement methodologies.
• SAP experience preferred.
• ISO 9000/ISO auditing experience preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma experience or certification preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with both operational and technical teams in a manufacturing environment.
