Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Hand/Carpenter to join our team. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in producing top-quality work. You’ll be responsible for interior and exterior carpentry on custom residential new home builds and light commercial projects, ensuring every detail meets our standards of precision and excellence.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations:

• An excellent understanding of carpentry and a willingness to learn new techniques
• An exceptional ability to complete work with a high level of independence, accuracy, and efficiency
• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout in conformance to building codes and determine dimensions and materials required
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and site instructions to achieve the design intent.
• Complete all aspects of finish carpentry including installation of doors, casing, baseboards, crown moulding, cabinetry, wall paneling, etc.
• Fit and install windows, window frames, interior and exterior trim and lay floor.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
• Builds or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in all types of buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
• Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area each day.
• Must work well in a team environment (Crew, Project Managers and Admin staff) and be flexible to changing requirements
• Uses logic, creativity, and reason to identify solutions

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years’ experience as a carpenter in custom residential new home construction
• Strong finished carpentry skills
• High attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Passion for building
• Self-motivated worker, able to complete jobs in timely manner
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Must be professional, honest, and respectful
• Strong communication skills

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour
