Role Description

This is a full-time or part-time, on-site role located in Alexandria, VA. As a Child, Adolescent & Family Therapist, you will provide therapy to children, adolescents, and families in alignment with trauma-informed care principles. Your daily responsibilities will include conducting play therapy sessions, assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, managing cases, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role also involves collaborating with other team members, families, and community resources to support clients’ mental health and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Play Therapy and experience working with children
  • Strong background in Social Work and Mental Health care
  • Skills in Case Management and effective collaboration with community resources
  • Licensure in counseling, social work, or related field (or license-eligible)
  • Commitment to equity, inclusivity, and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches
  • Education/experience in working with neurodivergent clients and families
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, is highly valued
