Job Title: Senior Network & Firewall Administrator

Experience Required: 5 to 8 Years

Location: Nashik

In this role, you drive the evolution of our network security platform end-to-end: from architecture principles and operational standards to secure-by-design implementation, optimization, and audit-ready documentation. You harmonize approaches across locations, implement robust segmentation and controls, and ensure scalable, secure connectivity that enables RIB’s global business and compliance needs.

Your responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations, hardening, and continuous improvement of our firewall and network environments (Sophos & Palo Alto, Aruba switching/Wi‑Fi, ClearPass NAC)
• Firewall engineering: rulebase design and governance, NAT, application control, IPS/IDS, VPN (client and site-to-site), high availability, upgrades/patching, and policy lifecycle management
• Drive central management and standardization (e.g., Sophos Central and Palo Alto management tooling), including templates, naming conventions, configuration baselines, and change evidence
• Network engineering across LAN/WAN: routing, VLANs, QoS, segmentation, resilient designs, and secure remote connectivity
• Aruba networking: switching and WLAN operations (controllers/APs where applicable), rollout/refresh activities, and service stability improvements
• ClearPass engineering and operations: NAC/802.1X access control, authentication policies, device onboarding, and guest access workflows
• Monitoring & observability: define alerts and dashboards, use telemetry and logs proactively, and improve incident readiness and response quality
• Engineering ownership: 2nd–3rd level troubleshooting, deep-dive analysis (including packet captures), root-cause analysis, and sustainable remediation via problem/change management
• Security & compliance: implement and evidence security controls, align with Security on risk reduction, audits, and continuous hardening initiatives
• Documentation & enablement: maintain high-quality runbooks, network diagrams, standards, and knowledge transfer to the Service Desk and regional IT teams

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise experience in network and firewall administration, including senior-level troubleshooting and operational ownership
• Proven, in-depth expertise with Sophos firewall environments and Palo Alto NGFW (policy design, VPNs, upgrades, HA, and troubleshooting)
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in global teams/matrix organizations, stakeholder management, and cross-region standardization.
• English at least C1 - C2 (spoken and written)

Advantageous – Certifications / additional knowledge

• Sophos & Palo Alto: Relevant firewall certifications (engineer level or equivalent)
• Aruba & ClearPass: Aruba campus networking certification (switching/Wi‑Fi) and/or equivalent experience, plus ClearPass NAC expertise (802.1X/RADIUS, onboarding, guest access, policy modelling, and operations).
• CCNA/CCNP-level networking or comparable vendor-neutral security certification (e.g., Security+) as a strong plus.
• ITIL (or comparable) plus experience in structured Incident/Problem/Change Management in enterprise operations.
