About the role

The Back Plant Operatoris responsible forDischargers (bottom ash/stoker),APC(Air Pollution Control equipment)or craneoperations. General tasks would include routine checks of equipment,troubleshootequipment, andsupportPlant operations under the direction of the supervisor or control room.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fills out necessary log sheets according to procedures.
• Monitor andmaintainproper operation of Slakers, Dischargers, and Air Pollution Control equipment.
• Manipulates crane controls such as pedals, levers, or buttons to regulate speed and direction of the crane and hoist movement
• Perform general housekeeping of the work area or other areas of the plant; Clean conveyor spillage as needed.
• Perform and document inspections of equipment to identify and report equipment malfunctions.
• Perform orassistin preventive maintenance, asrequired, including proper lock outtagout of these systems.

Qualifications

• GED/HS Diploma preferred;Reworldoffers GED Works - a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.
• Experience operating forklift and skid steer preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
• Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
• Consistently work in various weather conditions

Shift Work:

• 5 shifts on, 2 shifts off, 2 shifts on, 5 shifts off, rotating 12-hour days/nights each month. 5 am and 5 pm start/end times.

Pay Transparency

Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $56,900.00 - $75,700.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
