Role Overview

Revolite Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a skilled IT Support Specialist – SME to review and validate technical educational content aligned with the CompTIA A+ Core 1 (220-1201) and Core 2 (220-1202) certification objectives.

In this role, you will act as a technical reviewer and subject matter expert, ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and scope of IT support training materials designed for beginner and early-career IT professionals.

The position focuses on technical validation, quality assurance, and exam alignment rather than original content creation.

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Content Review

  • Conduct detailed reviews of instructional manuscripts related to IT support topics.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and appropriate depth for entry-level IT learners.

Exam Objective Alignment

  • Validate that content aligns with CompTIA A+ Core 1 and Core 2 certification objectives.
  • Ensure proper terminology, realistic scenarios, and vendor-neutral explanations.

Scope & Content Validation

  • Identify and correct overscoped topics such as advanced scripting, enterprise infrastructure design, or deep system administration.

Instructional Clarity

  • Ensure complex IT concepts are clearly explained for beginners.
  • Improve readability and learning effectiveness for entry-level audiences.

Technical Quality Assurance

  • Detect and correct:
  • Technical inaccuracies
  • Outdated terminology
  • Logical gaps
  • AI-generated inconsistencies

Documentation & Professional Practices

  • Verify that ticketing systems, documentation practices, and support workflows reflect real-world IT support operations.

Required Technical ExpertiseHardware & Peripheral Support

  • PC components (CPU, RAM, storage, cooling, power supply)
  • Desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Printers and peripherals
  • Cables, connectors, and display devices
  • ESD safety and device handling

Mobile Devices

  • Mobile device components and troubleshooting
  • iOS and Android support
  • Wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC)
  • BYOD and MDM concepts

Networking Fundamentals

  • TCP/IP basics, ports, and protocols
  • Routers, switches, and access points
  • Wired and wireless configuration
  • Basic network troubleshooting tools

Virtualization & Cloud

  • Virtual machines and hypervisors
  • Containers (conceptual knowledge)
  • Cloud models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
  • Cloud-based productivity platforms

Operating Systems

  • Installation and troubleshooting of:
  • Windows
  • macOS
  • Linux
  • Chrome OS

  • Malware types and prevention

Qualifications

Professional Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in:
  • IT Support
  • Help Desk
  • Desktop Support
  • Technical Support roles

Technical Credentials

  • CompTIA A+ certification (220-1201 / 220-1202) preferred
  • Equivalent hands-on experience may also be considered.

Skills

  • Strong technical review and editing skills
  • Ability to identify and correct technical inaccuracies
  • Strong written communication and documentation abilities
